With the massive success of WBGfakeNEWS we wanted our readers to get an inside look into the news writing process with a sit down interview with our editor James Louis.
How hard is it to write for WBGfakeNEWS?
James Louis: “I think people assume the grinding process of writing news stories without an ounce of credibility is easy. Turns out it’s extremely easy.”
What is your writing process like?
James Louis: You just can’t care what anyone thinks. You dig in and do the work. First I start with zero facts. That way, zero facts are given.
Where do you find inspiration?
James Louis: The best thing about social media is that everyone has a voice. The bad thing about social media is that everyone has a voice. That’s my inspiration.
When do you write your stories?
James Louis: Anytime my wife gets mad at me I end up with some free time. This leaves my schedule pretty open most days..
Are you afraid some people won’t get the humor?
James Louis: I expect that. Some people will be my target audience and some people will just be my targets.
What about the photoshopped images?
James Louis: What’s photoshop?
How did you end up being a writer?
James Louis: Drank a lot in my twenties, sobered up in my thirties, now i’m bored doing a lot of weird stuff in my 40’s. Also professional RC race car driver didn’t work out.
As far as your subscriber base who is your favorite kind of reader?
James Louis: Might sound crazy but I love people who comment without actually reading the story. Those are the best. Very satisfying. I literally giggle.
Who is your favorite writer?
James Louis: Oh I have a few. Classic Novelist Emily Brontë, Mystery Novelist Sue Grafton & Sexy Romance Novelist Steve Barrett. I have his autograph.
Explain the David Hasselhoff poster.
James Louis: No.
